Boasting in the Lord

Dear readers, I want to share some thoughts about Boasting/ glorifying. In Psalms 64:10 it is said “And all the upright in heart shall glory.”

Glory in His Holy name

 “Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!”

Psalms 105:3 

We should not Boast in Man's wisdom, might, strength & riches.

“Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;”

Jeremiah 9:23 NKJV

Boast in God and not in Men

“But “he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.””

II Corinthians 10:17 

“For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.”

II Corinthians 10:18 

“Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:”

I Corinthians 3:21

Boast in the cross of our Lord

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

Galatians 6:14

Boast in infirmity

“If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.”

II Corinthians 11:30 

When we do this God's strength will be perfected in our weakness. Amen.
